Google Sync is a pretty handy app that lets you sync contacts/calendar events between your device and data in your google account. Unfortunately when I set out to get one for my BB, I would get standard and illegible error message “unable to download sync”. Some digging around and I found out that google’s mobile app server had corrupt device descriptor header along with the app install file (in essence denying download to certain devices). Deep inside a dev forum thread, I dug up a stripped down version of the installation file and uploaded it up on my server to make it available to folks like you who might need it. Simply direct your BB browser to this link install.jad

It is with mixed emotions that I write this update.. on the one hand, I didn’t loose.. but at the same time I didn’t win as much as I hoped I should have (or was entitled to?.. damn this sense of entitlement!) 
On a serious note though, it was same great fun as the year prior despite of the fact that I couldn’t drink beer this time around due to medications I’m on these days!
Yesterday, we managed to play out 7 four-handed tournaments for $5 each. Francois and I tied for a $25 profit each, Carl finished 3rd -$15 down and Jim was the least fortunate ending the night down -$35, mostly bad luck all around (ending up heads-up with me three times). The tournament started out on a classic note when Francois toppled my AK with his KT for a straight (if I don’t misremember?) Luckily for me, I scored a few suckouts on Francois in later rounds
