Vlad on Poker: Poker Tips, Strategies, and Reviews as only a Russian can do it!

It is with mixed emotions that I write this update.. on the one hand, I didn’t loose.. but at the same time I didn’t win as much as I hoped I should have (or was entitled to?.. damn this sense of entitlement!) :D

On a serious note though, it was same great fun as the year prior despite of the fact that I couldn’t drink beer this time around due to medications I’m on these days!

Yesterday, we managed to play out 7 four-handed tournaments for $5 each. Francois and I tied for a $25 profit each, Carl finished 3rd -$15 down and Jim was the least fortunate ending the night down -$35, mostly bad luck all around (ending up heads-up with me three times).  The tournament started out on a classic note when Francois toppled my AK with his KT for a straight (if I don’t misremember?) Luckily for me, I scored a few suckouts on Francois in later rounds :D
